The Kalobeyei Community Hall
Together with Arkemi and Petra Gipp Arkitektur, we are undergoing a project in Kenya for the UNHCR.
This project of a community hall is set up in the Kakuma Refugee Camp and/or Kalobeyei Integrated Settlement.
This module of the Community hall will be inaugurated in the beginning of October. The idea behind the structure is to consitute an area where the inhabitants of the camp can meet and eat. This Community Hall will be surrounded by a playground, football fields and a park.
The inauguration of this first module should launch a bigger project of different modules all over the camp : a cooking module, a toilet module…
We are very proud to be part of such a project that allows us to create and build sustainable architecture for other to make use out of.
